Birthday Celebration Part 1- Breakfast, Golfing and a Tea Party

Sequoia's birthday was extra special this year.  We were home AND Dillon got to be there!  Vegas got too hot so he headed East to be with the rest of the office, but he got to make a pit stop in Utah the same weekend Miss Q turned five!  We woke up the morning of June 1st and Quoia helped me make PINK pancakes.  This was a big deal since I never cook and we never have breakfast together.

When we told Sequoia Dillon would be in town and asked her what she wanted to do on her birthday, she didn't hesitate when she said "Golf with dad!"  She has loved golfing the past year or so and, unfortunately, mom doesn't golf.  So Dillon took her golfing but had a surprise for her when they walked out to the car:

Her OWN clubs!!! She was so excited and so was Dillon.  So sweet!
Next was golfing with the Story's.  Dillon may not have a son, but he definitely has a good golfing partner!

I mentioned earlier that 'friends parties' were all the rage.  I ran several ideas past Sequoia but she insisted on a girls only tea party to celebrate turning five with her friends.  It was so easy and so adorable.

This was the cutest little place.  They let me bring my own 'tea', treats and decor and they provided cupcakes, frosting and toppings to each girl.  A cake decorator came in and gave a demonstration and then the girls each got to decorate two cupcakes.  Perfect!

Sequoia is such a popular young lady.  She has friends in our neighborhood, her grandma's neighborhood, school, and dance, so it was no surprise she had a hard time narrowing down her guest list.

We finished the day out to dinner as a family.  It was perfect.
