We made our annual Jackson Hole trip in September. This year was a little different because it was the first time Dillon was able to come! We went about a week later than we have in the past and I honestly think the leaves were so much more colorful, we couldn't get enough!
Sequoia, Zac, Kelsey and my parents went up a day early. Dillon and I drove Friday to meet them and it was fun to road trip just the two of us. As soon as we got there my family was ready to hit up the Bar J Wrangler chuck-wagon dinner and we didn't want to miss it!
We really missed our little hermana Emily while on this trip. I think Sequoia was impersonating her in the photo above. Haha, if you know Em you know her eyes are closed in every picture!
Sequoia really wanted to ride the train while we waited for dinner. But for some reason as soon as she got on it she was so grumpy! The rest of us enjoyed it though.
And then she was her happy self for dinner and the show. Little stinker!
The next day all seven of us loaded up in our car and took a drive towards Yellowstone.
We made lots of little stops along the way to check out the view and the wildlife. I'm not a huge fan of taking pictures of wildlife but one of my favorite parts of the trip was watching this family of otters in the water. You can see them swimming just to the left of Sequoia in the picture above. They were so cool!
The views were breathtaking. Dillon was LOVING the Tetons and is already planning a snowboarding trip back there in a couple of months.
We stopped in the park and had a little picnic. Sequoia and grandpa loved throwing rocks in the water after lunch. We were lucky and had fantastic weather the whole trip. Dillon and I even slept in our tent both nights and didn't freeze. We were, however, woken up by a pack of coyotes. They were so close I thought for sure we were going to get eaten, but Dillon kept me safe.
The morning we were leaving we were all cleaning up and a few yards from our camp Zac and Dillon spotted some moose. They were brave and went closer to watch for a bit.
Overall it we had a great trip!
