Still Her Favorite

This is Sequoia's last week of school and they have been having fun activities all week long. Yesterday was hat day and Tuesday night Sequoia informed me she didn't want to wear a hat the next morning, she was pretty adamant about it so i figured that was that. Later that night, Dillon (via face time) told her to get out her hat box and the two of them went through them one by one together (something I would've never thought to do).  Sequoia loved trying on all her hats, admiring herself in my phone and waiting for Dillon's over-the-top reaction to each one. Watching them interact was so sweet (and maybe made me slightly misty eyed).  As soon as she found the cowgirl hat she knew that was the one. I was shocked yesterday morning when she was still excited to wear it and put it on all by herself. She looked too dang cute in her daisy dukes, pig tail braids and hat!!! She couldn't wait to send a picture to her daddy! Even halfway across the country he's still the best dad ever and Sequoia's favorite parent.
