this year APX did a huge sub for santa project. weeks ago they asked if anyone wanted to donate. dillon did but didn't think we would actually get so involved in it. on wednesday they divided up names and families and took everyone (like hundreds of employees) to target. it was a mad house but so FUN! dillon and i were given the names of four little girls, two five-year-olds, an eight-year-old, and a 16-year-old. even dillon will admit they were so fun to shop for. we got them clothes, books, and toys. then, tonight we got to deliver the presents to the families. i seriously almost cried. they were so grateful, and the kids were darling! one of the mom's, a single mother, wrote us the sweetest thank you note and gave us pictures of her kids. some of the younger kids wrote letters to santa for us to deliver, thanking him for the gifts.
this truly got me in the christmas spirit. not only was it super fun to shop for and deliver presents, but it made me realize just how blessed i am.
