Last week Dillon and I had the opportunity to leave work, snow, Christmas craziness, and our baby for a lovely week in the Caribbean. We sailed on the Carnival Magic and had the BEST time!
We think cruises are the best way to travel. Just look at all the fun we had on the ship:
Our first stop was Montego Bay, Jamaica. To be honest, Jamaica was a little scary. We actually drove all the way across the island to a little nicer area, Ocho Rios, to hike the world famous Dunn's River Falls. Unfortunately right when we got there the battery of our GoPro died so we didn't get many pictures there, but it was totally awesome!
Right before the battery died :(
The best picture we got at the falls. It took us a little over an hour to hike the whole thing, we made a human chain with the rest of our group and Dillon ended up carrying a little girl. So sweet of him.
After the falls we went to this fun little restaurant for lunch, did some shopping and headed back to the ship.
The next day we ported in Grand Cayman. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited! I couldn't get over how clear the water was. We took a boat out to a sand bar in the middle of the ocean to go swimming with sting rays. We knew everyone on our boat and our driver was the bomb!
Just hangin' on the top of the boat with our friends.
See what I mean about the water?!!
So swimming with the sting rays was probably my favorite part of the trip!
After we swam at the sand bar for a bit, our boat driver took us to a little reef to (literally) jump off the boat and snorkel for a bit. The water was perfect and the sun was bright. It made for some of the best snorkeling we've ever done!
We ended the day with lunch and lounging at the beach. It was perfect.
Our third and final stop was Cozumel, Mexico. We've actually been there before and felt like last time we were there we explored most of the island. We asked a local for his advise on where we should go and he told us about a private little beach. We paid 50 bucks to get in and had unlimited food, drinks and fun all day. It was so, so fun and so relaxing!
Some of the fun stuff they had were kayaks and a water trampoline. I had never done either and really liked them both!
Yeah, so pretty much basking in the sun like this made for a pretty rough day... I want to go back!!!
We really missed Little Miss Quoia, but it was still tough to come back to reality. I had the best time with my best friend!
