Dillon has been so good to take the girls golfing with him. He has mostly taken Sequoia, as she loves to golf and has her own set of clubs. She is old enough to actually 'play' and respects the rules of the course.
On July 4, 2016, Dillon wanted to golf but I was working. He decided to take Winter with him. He and his buddies were golfing 18 holes and on hole 13 were chatting about how good Winter had been to just sit contently in the cart. On hole 14 Dillon was out of the cart hitting. All the sudden he hears his friend yelling and looks over to see Winter driving the golf cart away, and completely out of control. The group ran after her, but she was flooring it, due to having to actually stand on the gas pedal to reach the steering wheel! A short distance later Winter drove straight up a curb and high-centered the golf cart, ripping the bottom (oil pan) off and coming to a complete stop. Dillon and his friends rushed to her.
She was completely unshaken and actually quite proud of herself. Dillon was a wreck and was just grateful things weren't worse. Needless to say, it ended up being an expensive round of golf! He called me once everything was settled and when I asked how Winter was he turned around and asked her... this was the response she gave:
This baby! Like seriously, she is so wild. Thankfully Dillon is much more forgiving (and patient) than I am, and has since taken the girls golfing several times without any mishaps. Lessons were learned and now the girls can continue to make memories and bond with their dad on the golf course.
